IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

To prevent damage to your handlebar and ensure safe riding, please read these installation instructions carefully before proceeding.

Always verify that the mounting bolts are the correct length before installation. Using bolts that are too long may damage the handlebar or adapter.

1. 20° ANGLE ADAPTER – BOLT SPECIFICATIONS

The front and rear threaded holes of the 20° angle adapter have different designs and require different bolt lengths.

A. REAR THREADED HOLE (Handlebar-Facing Side)

Thread Design:
• Through-hole design
• Effective thread engagement depth: 20 mm

Recommended Bolt Length:
• 40–50 mm
• Bolt length may be adjusted according to the thickness of any additional spacers used.

⚠ WARNING:
This is a through-hole design. If the bolt is too long, it may extend through the adapter and damage the handlebar.

Always verify the bolt length before installation. Do not exceed the recommended bolt length range.

B. FRONT THREADED HOLE (Outward-Facing Side)

Thread Design:
• Blind threaded hole (closed at the bottom)
• Total hole depth: 25 mm
• Fully formed, load-bearing threads: 20 mm at the bottom
• Upper 5 mm: Partial threads (non-load-bearing section)

Recommended Bolt Length:
• 45–55 mm
• Maximum recommended bolt length: 55 mm
• The front bolt should be 5 mm longer than the rear bolt.
• Bolt length may be adjusted according to the thickness of any additional spacers used.

✓ SAFETY NOTE:
This is a closed-end blind hole. The bolt cannot pass through the adapter and contact the handlebar.

However, the bolt length must still be checked to prevent bottoming out and ensure proper clamping.

2. STANDARD INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

STEP 1 – CHECK BOLT LENGTH AND FITMENT

Align and stack the spacers and angle adapter in the intended installation configuration.

Insert the mounting bolts and perform a trial fit.

Verify that:
• The bolts are the correct length.
• The threads engage properly.
• The bolts do not bottom out.
• There is no excessive play or looseness.

STEP 2 – ALIGN THE MOUNTING HOLES

Once the bolt lengths have been confirmed, position the complete assembly over the corresponding mounting holes on the handlebar.

Make sure all components are correctly aligned before tightening.

STEP 3 – TIGHTEN THE BOLTS EVENLY

Gradually tighten the mounting bolts in an alternating diagonal sequence to ensure even clamping.

Use the appropriate tightening torque specified by the handlebar or component manufacturer.

Do not overtighten.

3. ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

• Professional installation by a qualified bicycle mechanic is recommended.

• If your local bike shop is performing the installation, please provide these instructions to the mechanic.

• Always confirm bolt length and proper thread engagement before final installation.

• After installation, check that all mounting bolts are securely tightened.

• Inspect the mounting bolts periodically to ensure they remain secure.

IMPORTANT:
Incorrect bolt length or improper installation may damage the handlebar or adapter and compromise riding safety.
